I've called before but have never had success getting a price match.  They always tell me that you have to include tax or shipping or both to the other website which always makes the price higher than zappos.

Do you do it before or after your purchase?

I'm thinking about these:

But I'm still attached to the idea of a pair of riding boots like these, which would probably be more classic:

Just call and tell them where you saw the cheaper price, either give the website or phone#.  They'll call and verify that the other vendor has your size and color in stock.  Then they'll also add whatever shipping costs the other vendor would add to your order.  Then ta-da - price match!  I've only done it once but it was really easy.  I had already bought the shoes from Zappos so they just refunded my cc with the difference.

i've done it twice and sometimes they tell you that you cant use a coupon code for the price match, it has to be the original price....so what i do is...hang up and call again and speak to a different representative...

i've only done it once, and i called. it was kind of a hassle, but zappos has really great customer service and return policies/etc so i almost always would rather order from them.

they've always been really good about this with me - we just navigate to the item to be priced matched together on the computer. I love how other sites are offering free shipping to compete with zappos now - it no longer becomes a determining factor in the price match.

I've done it several times. All I did was emailed them the website and tell them how much I should be getting back. I had no problem each time and got email back pretty fast.
