Can someone tell me the definitive word on the equivalent European shoe sizes to US ones? I wear a 9 US, and have seen both 40 and 39 as being the equivalent. Are you supposed to add 30 or 31 to your normal size? Thoughts?

I normally wear a US 10 but have bought most of my shoes in Finland and my European size is definitely a 41.

I wear a 6 and always wear a 36.  Many people say that a 36 is a 5 1/2 , but I disagree.

I guess it's pretty much like trying to argue what US shoe size we all are...companies are all so different.


I'm a 7.5 - 8 (for width...I'm a 7 when it comes to foot length) and can wear 37 or 38 depending on how wide the shoe is cut.
