On shoes, I'd go up to $150, I've never spent that much as of yet though. I usually keep my shoe purchases from $50-$70. For boots, the usual is $250-$300.

I Loooove shoes so I really have no limit as to what I'll spend. The most I've spent on a pair of shoes is $850 and about $1000 on a pair of boots. But what I have will be classics and will last me for years.

On dress shoes that won't be worn to work, I wouldn't pay more than $300. On work shoes, under $100, preferably under $70 (I know I wear them everyday and should get better ones, but I've ruined so many I can't stand to spend more).

On boots, I usually find a bargain and spend $150, because I'm not gentle on them. However, this year I bought a pair of golashes so I can wear them to work and out of the office, and keep the leather boots looking better. We'll see how it plays out.

On summer sandels, usually under $50 because I usually just keep them for the season.

Hmmm.  I don't really follow shoe trends and tend to buy whatever strikes my fancy.  This allows me to make out pretty well at sales and Loehmann's.  But, I am totally a shoe girl, so I will spend for quality and comfort.  I range anywhere from 50.00 on sale to 600.00, but probably most of them are between 200.00 to 300.00.

I need to replace my boots...so I might need to revise these numbers up to account for a splurge :)

Shoes: $150

Boots: $200

Most of the time, I'm able to luck out and buy my shoes on sale. I usually go for comfort and quality because I hate wearing uncomfortable shoes.

i don't have a ton of shoes or boots so i tend to spend a little more on a pair knowing that i'll only be buying 1-2 pairs instead of 7-8 pairs. don't get me wrong — i love a deal as much as the next girl, but i usually spend $100-150 on a pair of shoes and about $150-300 on a pair of boots.

Me too.

For casual shoes, I probably usually fall into the $30-100 price range.

For heels, usually $300-$500, unfortunately. But I find that a lot of times, the more pricey heels that I have bought have been much better quality than the cheaper ones. They're more comfortable and fit so well that I walk much more gracefully in them. I work in a very conservative environment (law firm) and looking professional and put together is very important.

Also, I figure with how hard I have to work, I might as well love my purses and shoes!!!

I'm such a cheapo! I don't believe I've paid more than $60 for any shoe. So I usually wait for sales if they are more expensive. I would pay more if they are really fabulous especially if they were originally a lot more. The average price for shoes for me though is about $50 if I will wear them a lot. If I know I won't wear it very much like something dressy, then I like to keep it under $30.

I usually set my limit to no more than $150 on a pair of shoes that i'm obsessed with. However, i broke that limit recently when i bought a cute pair of sigerson morrison red patent leather flats which has been on my shoe obsession list for over three years.

Boots: I really do not invest in boots because i live in Florida and would get such little use out of them.  I do have one really nice pair of black leather low heeled boots that i bought at an estate sale and will wear those from time to time.

Most of my shoes cost $20-$30. Most of them retail for $60-$80 but I get them on sale at Macy's, or at Marshall's. I've never spent more than $100 on shoes.

The most expensive boots I've bought were $200 at BR. Other than that, it ranges from $30 to about $100.

the most i ever spent on shoes was $800 on a pair of jeweled rene caovilla strappy sandals.  i posted about them, obsessed about them, and even carried them on the plane w/ me to nyc earlier this year so i could show the nyc stylethread girls when we all met up.  and because they all rock and wouldn't dream of judging me, they totally understood that i *had* to have them and validated my purchase

those shoes were amazing!!!! i remember all of us basking in their jeweled beauty!

i really don't like to buy cheap shoes. i love cheap things and could buy all my clothes from h&m. but when it comes to shoes i usually feel like the money is worth it. aside from the usual pair from nine west or steve madden (which aren't really all that cheap) i usually buy my shoes from dept. stores or small boutiques but almost never pay retail. for shoes i will pay up to $250 but like to spend less than $200 or $150.

for boots, i have muscular calves and can almost never find boots that fit me. so i don't really put a pricing cap on this b/c i have never really had an occasion where a boot that fit didn't justify the price. i guess the most i've spent is $400 but try to keep it under $200. however i did try on a pair of $900 barbara bui boots recently that are just to-die-for.
