I think they are classic - animal prints always seem to come and go as far as being "trendy," but look good with a suit or something classy no matter what IMO.

I told her I ordered the black leather and they run about a 1/2 size smaller, but they are totally cute IMO.  The leopard ones are suede.

Nordstrom had some beautiful ones this weekend that I can't find online at the moment - they were Charles David & about $100 give or take (i imagine give). I don't know how classic leopard print pumps are, but frankly I don't care. I have about 4 or 5 pair of leopard shoes in various heel heights / styles & I wear them at will. Some years I guess I'm "in" & some years I'm "out" but they are me so that's my feeling on it!

I'll see if I can find a picture of these - they were so pretty. Nordies had several pair - different brands / heel heights / quality.

ETA: I can't find them - maybe they just came out? I didn't answer your question either on the "investment" aspect...I personally wouldn't pay Jimmy Choo money for leopard shoes, but that's more a reflection of my budget. If you can afford to do it & typically would buy JC or MB, I'd say go for it. If not, I'd make my investment shoes black pumps. I also don't think that price translates to comfort very well.

I have a pair of Charles David pony hair leopard pumps that I invested in three years ago. I STILL wear them and love them. I think they're classic.
