here's my regimen:

wash hair w/ ecoly primrose shampoo:

Ecoly PRIMROSE Shampoo

flip head upside down, apply ecoly sage weightless conditioner:

Ecoly SAGE Conditioner

while conditioner is in hair and while head is still flipped upside down, detangle with a wide-tooth comb.

rinse, again head is still flipped upside down.

wrap towel around head, flip up.

take towel off.  never ever wring hair.

flip head upside down again.  run fingers through for separation.

apply ecoly thyme volumizing gel mousse:

Ecoly THYME Gel Mousse

scrunch up hair with fingers.

then (again, while head is upside down), blow dry with a diffuser, at low heat.  here's the kind of diffuser i use, it can be attached to almost any blow-dryer:

CONAIR DF09A Euro Style Diffuser

after about fifteen to twenty minutes of blow-drying, i flip my head up and voila! pretty spiral curls w/ great volume but no frizz.  hth!

I use some mouse (nothing that will leave my hair too stiff) and work it through with my fingers.

Then I use a fine comb and brush it through the hair to make sure that all parts of the hair are equally coated with the mouse. Otherwise, you'll end up with some sections that are too coated, and some that aren't coated at all and end up frizzy.

Then I flip my head over and use a diffuser to dry it. It is ideal to use high heat and low air. Don't scrunch the hair while you're doing this. Dry evenly all over.

Flip your head and let the hair fall naturally into place. Try not to touch it as much as possible.

Then I clean-up with a curling iron if necessary.

Ta-da!

Renee -  where can I buy the Bumble and Bumble creame?

I get it from a salon - Peter Thomas in Berkeley. Look at their website (bumbleandbumble.com) for a store locator :)

I've actually been meaning to post this same question but kept forgetting. I tried this today and its workes fabulously! I have seriously NEVER seen my hair this curly dry and its not frizzy, greasy, sticky or crunchy at all. how much conditioner do you girls use? A ton. Like the size of two chicken nuggets (what a strange unit of measurment). I also have a ton of hair, though. Basically so it feels totally saturated. A little more than I use when washing.

I've actually done this in the past as well, and I forgot about it until I read that Maddie does it. I tried it again today, in addition to my Ocean Waves and my hair is even curlier (of course, it's humid, too, so that might be it as well).
