i have been sitting on the phone WAITING for the past 14 minutes for a CS rep at Time Warner Cable to cancel my darn roadrunner account b/c it went up $10 per month without warning!!!!!!!!!!! (i am switching to verizon btw- hopefully they are better???)
gah!!!! i swear they are not picking up b/c i am cancelling something... they probably think i'll get pissed and hang up... which is about to happen but only b/c i have to leave in 10 minutes to make it to a dentist appt.
Ugh! What crapola that is! I get that kind of behaviour when I try to cancel and/or return things also. Which is ridiculous. You would think they would try to impress you with phenomenal CS in an effort to win you back!
Seems like a tactic they use...customer will tired of waiting and give up and just not cancell. Verizon is fantastic. A few years ago I was cancelling our AOL internet service since we decided just to get it through our telephone company. So I call to cancell and they were all talking about some other crap, and I told them all I wanted to do was CANCELL! Then they were like let me switch you to our other department. Then this guy was talking about long distance service and I told him I didn't want it, I just wanted to cancell my internet! He was like too bad, I can't do that, enjoy you new long distance service. So I was sooo pissed and told my BF who then called Verizon and they fixed everything for us.

thanks! this is the one thing i won today- i got them to lower my internet charges by $10- so i am paying $34.99 again for one year! yippee! i won one!
but i truly do think that this is a ploy to get people to hang up and not cancel their services. after i waited on the phone for 20 minutes, someone got on to help me, put me on hold and then 3 minutes later, someone else picked up! what the h??
