I don't know about you all, but I like to wear ballet-style stilettos. That way I can be both trampy and fashion-y!

You guys are so funny! Now girls, Let's remind ourselves that the people that critcize the most are usually more unhappy with themselves.  I feel sorry for people like that.

Nyla, I was looking at the Ninewest website and found lots of great flats under $29.99. You should take a look. Here are some examples:

akiter19.99

closetome29.99 (kind of sporty if you like that)

newground19.99

I am getting so inspired to buy some of these adorable flats that have been posted--immediately!  I LOVE the gojane ones (actually like the first ones that were posted maybe the best) and the 2nd Nine West ones that someone posted, and the J Crew leopard print ones are also adorable . . .

So many great options out there.  Let us know what you decide, Nylabelle!

I love both of those!!! Especially the purple ones. I'm on such a purple kick lately! Shall I say plum? Or is that too fashion-y?

You all are too funny!  You know, I've found myself purposely reading courtney82's posts just in order to see the "interesting" (for lack of a better kind word) styles she picks.  Some can be pretty entertaining, the "man shoes" post was one of my personal favs.

Oh my god, y'all!  Thank you so much for making me laugh about this!!!  I swear, I thought I was the only one who thought she was ridiculous.  This is totally off topic, but did anyone see her response to the "What I don't like about myself" thread in the Style Poll section?  For those that missed it, here it is:

"I like more than I dislike.

Don't likes:

*I think I'm too short.  I'm 5'4", would like to be at least 5'6".

*The tip of my nose is slightly crooked which I can tell in photos not as obvious in person.

*Don't like the shape of my lower legs.  The muscle is too thick.

Likes:

*eyes

*hands/nails. Have gotten plenty of compliments on them.

*overall figure, I like being slim although this is hard to find clothes. Once this lady said I had the perfect figure.

*feet. Perfect size 7, nice shape, very soft.

*face shape.  Have gotten perfect bone structure compliment.

*hair color.  Starting to get tired of the compliments!

*complexion.  I like my bright smooth skin, although it's so pale."

OMG--she is perfect--can I be like her?  I love how EVERY TIME she writes something we have to be reminded of how skinny she is.

Oh yes, how could i miss that post.  it must be exhausting to be so friggin perfect.  perfect skin, perfect nails, perfect figure - good grief, i don't know how she handles it - that is so exhausting.

Yeah, how could we miss that post. I was rolling my eyes the whole time.

I'm sure many of us here get compliments quite frequently on various physical attributes. However, the poll was what do you like/dislike about yourself not what do OTHER PEOPLE like/dislike about you.

blubirde, I like IRC shoes, too.  They're so funky and cute.

I like those gold Payless shoes!  Also check out www.pearlriver.com.  They have a shoe section with some really cute mary-janes and slip ons that look cute and comfy. Cortney, does anything NICE ever come out of your mouth?  I've tried to ignore it and be civil, but I think I'm just about at my end.  If you're so damn fashionable and such a f'ing know-it-all on both fashion and interior decorating, then you must be making millions of dollars in the industry, right?  If you don't like someone's outfit, shoe choice, shirt, curtains, or whatever either keep it to yourself or consult a more tactful person before submitting your response.  Everyone here is interested in opinions, not in being made to feel completely inadequate in their choices.  Hell, offer up another choice if you don't like it.  So critical!!!!!!

AWESOME!!!!!  I am SO glad you said that!!!

I don't post much but I read religously and I was just sitting here in shock at all of Cortney1982's comments.

according to an earlier cortney82 post, stiletto heels are also cheap-looking.  i wonder what type of shoes we are supposed to wear?

I never said ballet flats look cheap.  I'm tired of looking at them on this girl.  Her outfits look cheap.  Wearing very trendy pieces head to toe is bad.

holy shit you guys are hilarious. I personally find that bedroom slippers are the best look for me... they keep me from looking slutty or fashiony but offer the perfect marriage of comfort and relaxed style. I especially like this pair I just found, which comes in my college colors:

pretty sweet, right?

Cortney1982, have you ever heard of Audrey Hepburn? How about Chanel? I do believe that ballet flats have been around for quite a while and would not be defined as trendy.  Read up on trends versus classics before your post your opinions about trendy items.

And as for the 'cheap' reference bumblebee made, she was referring to your earlier post about stiletto heels looking cheap.  She never said that you said ballet flats were cheap. Of course they aren't! They're 'fashiony.' Silly me for being so confused.

I don't know, I guess I am the only one that thinks you guys are taking this a little out of hand. If she doesn't like ballet flats, and she doesn't like stilletos she is allowed to say so. That's the point of a forum. 2 pages of posts bashing one person? That's pretty bitchy.

Just wanted to add something about this thread: http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?forumID=44784&subForumID=102212 &action=viewTopic&commentID=3722776 This thread is very similar to Nylabelle's thread. The responses to this thread are full of attacks on her personal style, even citing previous comments she had made in a thread where she was ASKED (point of the thread) to say what styles she didn't like. (I'm sure a lot of people mentioned things other people wear, but I've not seen anyone else being associated with a particular item that they mentioned in the way that everyone seems to associate Cortney1982 with stilletto heels.) You guys didn't like Cortney1982's loafers, and most of the people that posted in that thread told her so in an offensive way. It's ok to tell Cortney1982 that you don't like her choice of shoes, but it's not ok to tell Nylabelle? What's with that?

Hey, kisa, you may not have been around the forums long enough, but run a search of Cortney1982's posts and you'll find that there are some pretty hateful comments from her on a pretty regular basis. I think everyone here is just tired of it.
