I need some casual, flat(ish) shoes for fall and I'm planning to buy some ballet flats. What do you think of these?
the pic isn't very good, but I want the brown ones (in the middle). For some reason, I got a Talbot's catalog in the mail and I usually hate their clothes, but I though these shoes were cute.
And also, these:
I normally despise Payless, but these might be cute.
I am tired of seeing ballet flats and will tell you why. This girl at work tries to be all fashion-y and only ever wears ballet flats! Her outfits she puts together end up looking silly and cheap. I wonder if she would still wear ballet flats with 6 inches of snow outside? Maybe sheepskin flats?
the first ones are okay (i think you can find better), but i don't like the payless ones. (i think i'm the only one who doesn't like them!) i don't know, they're a little too cutesy for me....
i like the spiegel ones I think, hard to tell from pic. Not feeling the Payless ones, they look very young to me. Maybe with jeans and a nice top or blazer they will look more polished?

Um, yeah, okay. That's fabulous. Thanks for your input. I just want them b/c I don't want to wear sneakers. I don't plan to wear them with everything or in the snow. I'm not trying to be all 'fashiony.' I just need something comfy for weekends. So, next time, if you don't have anything constructive to input....

The more I look the at the second pair, the less I like them. I just need something for fall/winter that works like my flip flops do in the summer. Just something that I can throw on for the weekend. I have the Target ballet flats, but those soles are soooooo thin! I feel like I might as well be walking around in bare feet! I guess I'll have to keep looking.

That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

I quite agree it's pretty ridiculous. Like why does wearing ballet flats make an outfit look "silly and cheap"? And what does this have to do w/ Nylabelle's shoe decision?
Anyway, enough of my tangent...I'm not sure what price range you're looking at, but both BR and JCrew have some really cute ballet flats and pointy flats right now. I'll post some pics when I get off work.
i tried these on in grey a few weeks ago- they're very cute!
i didn't end up buying them though- i decided on these jeffrey campbells instead.
they're basically a flat and they are sooooo comfortable! the nordstrom website has them in gold, silver, and white, but i've seen them in a variety of colors. i got them in a sort of burgundy/plum suede. i'm not sure if you were looking for a more plain style, but i would definitely recommend these!
by the way, flats will never go out of style! they're not trying to be "fashion-y"- they're classic.
