get out of here- Stratton?! I know him well! I can't even tell you how many hours I spent doing lit drops and vis for him!

I'm sure I don't have any dirt that you don't already know... just the normal stay away from Pataki. And Andrew Cuomo. Ew. If you're ever in a room with Cuomo and Jennings, watch your ass- literally.

omg, thats too funny! I bet we have met at some point. I went to SUNY Albany and interned in Sen. Clinton's Albany office for almost 2 years so I was at a ton of events. Plus the campaign... I'll see if I have an older picture of myself when I get home- I've lost a lot of weight since then and look completely different.

Okay, here is a fun one.  I majored in Theatre in college, but I currently work in HR for the world's most popular men's magazine and adult entertainment company (I'm sure most of you know where I am talking about).

I am currently going back to school to get my BSN and I will hopefully be working as an RN in one of the wonderful Chicago hospitals by January of 2008:).

Not shopgirl82, but I worked at NMH in the Radiation Oncology dept when I first moved to Chicago.  I actually work a block from there in the 680 building - we've probably passed each other on the street!

I work at AE during the summer and Christmas and during the first few weeks of school semesters I work at Barnes and Nobles Textbooks. I'm also an aerobics instructor. I will be a lit. prof someday as well as a personal trainer.

I'm an export assistant at a commodities trading firm.  Hahaha, that sounds so much better than it is.  Basically we export almonds (and some other nuts) all over the world, using the huge containers on the big ships.  My job is basically to make sure it all gets exported smoothly, accompanied by the proper documentation.

I graduated with a degree in international studies.  There is a possibility of becoming a commodities trader with this company, but I'm also seriously considering law school, or maybe being a wine broker (since I speak French, and I would love to be able to use it in my job).

I work in research/development for a large telecommunications company in a suburb of Chicago.  I am an electrical engineer and unlike most of my classmates, I actually do use my degree.  I develop and test 3G UMTS/IMS/WIFI.  My current project is to provide 3rd Gen. hardware/software to Cingular in 2006.

I work for a top analytics company that does consulting and provides software for fraud management, risk, credit, account management, etc., etc.  Basically, if you have ever had your credit score pulled, my company has had something to do with it.

Until two weeks ago I was a full time "professional schmoozer".  It was my job to keep the big clients (Tier One) happy.  I was assigned all of the large international telecom clients and two of the largest bank/credit card companies in the US.  However, two weeks ago I was promoted to a product management position.  I am now in charge of all client-facing responsibilities for one of our telecom products which has four modules.  Basically, I do the product consulting, competitive analysis, speaking engagements, etc. for the product.  I also still devote 50% of my time to "schmoozing".  I love my job and my company...just wish I didn't have to move to California and pay a "highway-robbery" sort of rent in a city that doesn't get snow and doesn't have seasons (sob!!).  Looking on the bright side, I travel 75%+, so I get to visit all sorts of climates, cities and countries!

What's a wine broker? That sounds uber-interesting. I want to do it!! (Without knowing what it is even... hmmm...) Could you do that job with a law degree and conversational (at best) French?

Oh, and I'm an attorney for a state agency (yippee). It sucks and I went to school to do it. Lucky me. I am so smart. S-M-R-T. Recently I've decided to become seriously involved in my job so I can keep from slitting my wrists from boredom. (I'll FIND work to do, damnit.) And then I'll leave. Hopefully in the next few months. Hope springs eternal, eh?
