Just write a plain thank you note that just says "thank you.  I really enjoyed meeting with you.  It was interesting chatting about..." and maybe a little extra fluff to make it at least a paragraph, but don't mention an interest in the job or a desire to speak again.  Usually in a thank you letter, you would put a paragraph reminding them why you want the job and what you can bring to the table.  Just leave that out.  I don't think there is any good letter you can write saying that you would only take the job if you don't get another offer. 

I'm sure you will find something else, lsubatgirl.  This job doesn't seem very stable and if you are not sure you want it, just put some extra energy into getting a job you do want.  I know you already have put a lot of effort into your search, but I think you should just keep at it in this situation.  If they were to say they would wait until June to hear your response, you might not put your whole heart into your job search because you know you have back up. 

So, I think you should just write a simple thank you, and then leave it alone.  If they do call you for a second interview or with an offer, I think you should say no.  Unless, of course, they are offering like $10,000 more than you were looking for.

Thanks for the advice.  I just hate the whole process.  I do want to say thanks again for all the advice on Fri Esquiress.  It is so helpful.  I wanted to call back but I got so busy with work and school I just couldn't.  I'm going to try to find a slow time before my next interview to chat with ya again.
