My husband has a black suit he wore for our wedding (and has worn since). I am pretty sure my dad has a couple of suits, but I doubt he has a tux. I'd be surprised if my stepdad even owns a blazer!

This is exactly what I think too.  I want him to feel as special and at his best as I hope to in my wedding gown.  He likes to look good and has gotten more into clothes this year, and I know he'd love the experience of being in a really sharp suit.

After he wears a rental again for this black tie party next weekend I'll bring it up again.    If he ultimately would rather wear a suit for our wedding than a tux, I don't have a preference either way, but next weekend he can at least compare the quality of a rental tux with the tuxes my brother and dad own and see there is in fact a difference.

Thanks everyone!

My dad owns a tux for a black tie event they go to every year, but DH doesn't and hasn't needed to wear one in the 4 years we've been married.

Shameless, yes, but I couldn't resist!  Yup, the lil man in my life owns a tux...unfortunately it stopped fitting after the first year....but it's fabulousness will live on in all it's turquoise velvet glory!
BTW...the price was well worth it...$1.99 at the thrift store the week I found out I was pregnant...and he wore it to 4 weddings, one easter service, and on my birthday!

my husband owns one, but he wears it probably 2x/year on average.  it has definitely paid itsself off.

we found him a very nice lightweight wool one (that can be worn year-round) at syms for a really good price (around the same price as a suit)

I think he should get a turquoise velvet tux just like leah_leanna's son. It is completely handsome smile.gif

I second turquoise velvet, as it's something that can be worn year-round - summer, holidays, daytime, evening - any time, really.

Big AWWWW on that picture!

Tee-hee! As I said, I simply couldn't resist! I only wish I could somehow cram his almost-5 year old body into it now!
