I would get 1 if you don't already have a denim pencil skirt and 2 if you already have a plain one.

LOL I own #2, as do a couple of the other ladies here, IIRC. And I can assure you that matronly, it is not. It's one of the sexiest pencil skirts I own and never fails to get compliments.

I own about four denim skirts though, so small fry, if this is to be your only / first one, I'd go with the first pictured. I think it's a little more versatile to dress down if you want to.

ETA: I have had no problem with the buttons whatsoever. They don't gape.

Thank you ladies, Iam stalking  the first one. Yes this will be my first denim pencil skirt   I still would like to get the 2nd one too its in my ebay express cartThanks atlgirl  for reassuring me about the buttons on the 2nd one.

I think that since this will be your first denim pencil skirt, you should get #1.

But I still like #2 so really you should get both if at all possible!
