I'm in need of some help keeping my pointy toes unscuffed.
Besides the usual extra length that comes with pointy toes, I have wide feet and usually have to size up about a 1/2 too.
Most of my toes are scuffed and icky. On my work shoes, I don't care too much. But, for my going out shoes, I hate them all scratched up. In the fall I decided to buy going out shoes and boots and cheaper versions (to get all scuffed up) for work.
So, do any of you have any tips on keeping the tips of your shoes nice? I'd much rather pool the money I'm spending on the 2 pairs, and get a really killer pair and not worry about them looking crappy after a few wearings.
I take mine to the shoe repair place and have them put "taps" on the soles. They extend out just a bit more than the regular sole and protect the toe some.
