Anthro Question
Permalink Closed

I bought this dress today:

and i was going to post it in the weekend shopping so i went to anthro's website to find the picture.

i bought it at a store today in their sale section.  all of the others were out front full price with the spring collections.  it was $148 dress but was missing two buttons so it was marked down to $135.  I asked the SA if they could do more b/c it was missing 2 buttons and not just one.  She said sure and marked it to $99.  i was happy b/c that is what i wanted to pay.

turns out- its $99 on the website.  with all the buttons

what can i do?  or rather, what should i do?

I don't know how Anthro's return policy in store is but I would return for a refund in the store  and order it online.  I would want all the buttons!

Is that dress knee length?  I've been looking at it online debating whether or not to get it.

Order it from the website, then return the one from the store to the website. (just in case keep it until you get the other one. Because sometimes anthro sale stuff is "low stock may cancel" and never actually ships.

HTH!

If I see something online that is onsale, I print out the page and bring it into the store.  They always give me the sale price.

So, I'd bring the page from the website to the store and explain the situation, exchange for the version w/ buttons same price.  Or you could ask for a bigger discount on the missing buttons version.

I'd be careful before you order it offline though, because last time I got a discount because of a defect in the product, it was a final sale.  So, I'd just make sure you can exchange/refund it before you get the other.

This is what I would do too.  I would call the store first to make sure you would be able to return it if need be. I *think* that Anthro won't give you the same price as online bc they are separate. I know on of the stores told someone that online and b&m are two different entities under the same company, but did not price match either other.  I'm pretty sure that was Anthro.

Cute dress!!

Really?! I've had experienced that with anthro...and i've got lots of defective discounts from them before and then decided to return.

I would actually print it out an take it to the store to get the discount or I'd call customer service and see what they say.

Kitty- yeah, I've only gotten something that was discounted because of a defect there once, but when i did try to return it they gave me crap about it being a final sale when I originally purchased it, and that I should have known that, blah blah blah.

Maybe I should've tried it again and gotten someone who knew better!

i'm going to take it back tomorrow.

they didn't mention anything about it being final sale and i just double checked the sales receipt and it doesn't say anything either.  most times when its final sale they have to mark it somehow and this ticket isn't marked.

i just tried to "order" the other one online and it its out of stock in my size.  i'll just try to get the $99 price on the one with all the buttons at the store and if it doesn't work- i'll just return entirely.

thanks for your help everyone!

Nothing more to add about this situation but I just wanted to say my co-worker wore this dress yesterday and it is soooo adorable!

That sucks! yeah...anthro is usually really awesome about returns, so that's why I was so surprised!
