Okay- seriously, the bf is driving me nuts. He needs jeans but refuses to go out to an actual store to try them on or even to look for some. He's soooo busy and just doesn't have any time- whoo, look at me, I'm a Ph.D. student- so it's now up to me to find him jeans. Here's what he needs/wants:
34 or 35 inseam 34 waist relaxed, boot cut fit 20'' leg opening for proper drape no fancy pockets less than $125
Do know of any brands that fit that category? Or even any suggestions that I can go look up for those specifics? I've tried Lucky (which he loves, but refuses to buy more than one of the same style/wash) and Diesel (which are too tapered at the bottom).
Dear lord, help me. Oh yeah...and they can't be from a department store, so no Bloomies or Nordies. WTF is a girl supposed to do?

HAH! you know what the sad thing is? i'd kill for an ass like that
when you say "no department stores," do you mean no high end brands that would be carried in department stores? or is it ok if they're also sold elsewhere?
my ex really liked chip and pepper... they're not too form fitting and come in lots of washes/styles
my ex only wore levi's and i swear, they were so HOT on him. I wish I knew the exact cut- it was some sort of bootcut maybe?
current boy got some chip and pepper jeans that look really good and he's so not the metro type. He seems to have about the same measurements.
after researching- i think it is the "tuck" cut in the C + P's. I can't find the right wash but i noticed the pockets in the back were a little torn from the seam, though it was less obvious in person than in online pics. maybe they were a new wash?
oh- and this boy also loves Lucky jeans- i've only ever seen him in Lucky jeans and the new pair of Chip and pepers.
My DH- who was totally opposed to "premium" denim, loves his Sevens...I think I got them on sale at Nordstrom's, so not sure how much they are full price...He also really likes jeans from Club Monaco and he has a few from Banana Republic that are just dark blue, no fancy pockts or anything...
My ex had some Wrangler jeans that were really hot but not too gay or anything. He was Irish though and I'm not sure if they sell that kind of Wrangler in the US.
Thanks everybody...you've given me some good ideas (and one very very bad idea!). The bf is just opposed to department stores- not what they sell. Go figure. The Mavi's and the C&P's sound best. Thanks again!

i'm late chiming in here, but my ex found a ton of great jeans at urban outfitters (they have higher end brands too, but his was a house label). my current bf always had good luck at nordstrom rack (since it's an off set of a dept. store your bf might not go for it). his faves are blue cult and i think they came to $50 at nordstrom rack. he is about the same measurements as your bf.

Relrel- sorry a little late here too. My ex let me dress him and kind of get him into designer jeans as lle (and my cousin too) but new BF hasn't let me convert him yet.
COH, AG, Diesels, and Hollister looked great on my ex. You can find some good deals if you're lucky at Nordstrom Rack, Marshall's, or Loehmann's.
Got new BF Paper Denim Cloth jeans that look nice too - just need to convince him that hems should be close to floor length rather than below the ankle!
