I've been wanting a Lauren Merkin clutch for a while and am probably going to get one for spring but I cannot, for the life of me, decide on the color.
I only have a couple of clutches now - a vibrant green patent leather wristlet by Kate Spade and a white and grey snake-embossed clutch from Banana.
I really think I could use a metallic one as it would go with both dressy and more casual outfits. But I love the marine, too. So which one should I get?
I love the marine. I have a pair of shoes that are a similar color and find that they are surprisingly versatile. Also, I think it's a great color for spring.
Those are both great choices. I have two LM bags (one clutch, one handbag) and I love them (and get tons of compliments). Okay, I normally would say get the gunmetal b/c it will go with almost every color under the sun, but it sounds like it would go with a lot of the same pieces that you could use with your BR clutch. If that's the case I'd get the blue one. They are both good, versatile colors though and you can't go wrong with either. while the blue one is a little more unexpected, you *might* get more wear out of the gunmetal, depending on your wardrobe of course. I could see the blue with lots of colors though, esp. earth tones and greys. HTH some. let us know what you decide.

ITA. The marine is more unexpected, and I feel like I've seen the gunmetal color all over the place recently...
I really do love the marine but I think I'm still leaning towards the gunmetal at the moment. I agree that the marine would be more unexpected and look really cool but I think I really do need a metallic clutch for dressier occasions. And I can picture the gunmetal looking great with my favorite red shoes...
