Received my first Smudge Pot - how do I use it??

My mom went to the outlet mall in San Marcos and found me a navy smudge pot. But now I don't know how to use it.  Please advise...

I just use an angled brush like this one:

Professional Angle Brush

Dip it in the Smudge Pot and line your upper lids.  It's really easy once you get the hang of it.  HTH!

Do you have an eyeliner brush?  I also had trouble with my smudgepot.  I was using an angled stiff brush but I went to Sephora and asked them to show me how to apply it.  They recommended the brush that Stila makes for it (of course).

I make sure the brush is clean, roll it into the waxy liner, hold my eyelid taught, then draw a line from inner eyelid out, sometimes going over it to make a cat eye.  If you wanted a smudgey look, I would just draw a normal line around the perimeter and IMMEDIATELY smudge with a Q tip or this brush (which was my fave but I lost it!)

If you wait too long, the line will set.  I find that the smudgepots stay on like ALL DAY even after the gym.

I also use an angled brush to apply mine.  I line the upper lid and *lightly* line the lower lid (I do this right after lining the upper lid, without dipping the brush again so that the application is light and not racoon-y).  Just remember a little goes a long way with this stuff!  One day when I wasn't careful with the amount on the brush I ended up looking like Ellen in that commercial and had to start over.  This stuff is amazing though, it stays put all day!

I like to use an angled brush, too, but I prefer Sephora's eyebrow brush because it's pretty thin and stiff.

I find that no matter how hard I try, I always get too much liner on my brush... I always keep tissue nearby to blot before I apply. I smudge immediately after I apply with a Q-tip.

I usually use something like this:

Eyeliner Brush
I also sometimes use a slanted brush like the others posted if I want a thicker line. One of these will work, too, but for a thicker line:

Precision Liner Brush

Thanks!  I have an angled brush and a thin eyeliner brush so I will play with both of them after work of course.  For some reason I just thought I might need to wet the stuff before using it.
