OK, who watched? I love when Jack goes all "rogue-agent," and it seems like he isn't wasting any time. Did you see him bite that guy's throat? He's hard-core.

I Jack Bauer!! I was wondering how he was going to get out of that mess, but I couldn't have imagined that he would have pulled a Hannibal Lecter on him. It was such an exciting two hours. It's funny, 24 is my favorite television show and I always get so excited for it, but I never seem to remember how they tie my stomach into knots every episode.
To quote Paula Abdul, "It is what it is and it was brilliant"!!

I enjoyed the new one...except I don't quite know if I can believe the whole "two years in the future thing". Jack's been in the Chinese prison for twenty months, eh? But holy hell, biting that man in the neck? That was pure 24 and the reason why I love the show.

They did that between seasons 2 and 3 as well. Season 3 starts 3 years after Season 2 ended.

my BF and I were at a 24 party. We had over-under bets on total number of explosions, total Jack kills, total body count, and time elapsed until he shaved that beard. The show is completely goofy and over-the-top but I love it!

ha ha! My husband and I always yell "Jack Bauer...saves the world!" at his triumphant moments.
I also have to remember not to get too involved in the time element. I mean, in supposedly one hour, Jack is a) handed over to CTU from the Chinese government; b) goes back to CTU, gets cleaned up, is able to speak again after 20 months of silence; c) is handed over to a terrorist; d) is transported back to said terrorist's lair; e) is brutally tortured by terrorist & cronies; f) rips throat out of terrorist crony after receiving details of terrorist's EVIL PLAN, and g) finds a brilliant hiding place. I mean, this show makes me feel like I am really slacking in time-management.

Wait, he didn't go all the way back to CTU to get cleaned up; he cleaned up in the airplane hangar.
It's true though, Jack Bauer does more in one hour then most people do all week.

I am also mourning the loss of Curtis, who I thought was indestructible. RIP
oh I know, that was terrible... I started crying in the scene right after, when Jack runs away and starts to cry. I think Keifer acts the part really, really well. It could not be clearer that this man has been through hell countless times and just feels torn to pieces and so tired he can barely will himself to move. I hope they go easy on him after the end of this season... at the end of season four he had to fake his death and never speak to anyone he loved again, and then after last season he was imprisoned and tortured for a year and a half... the guy needs a damn break.
I am also mourning the loss of Curtis, who I thought was indestructible. RIP
That really was sad, but I have to admit: he was creeping me out the entire episode. I knew that it wouldn't end well. That being said, I am not at all as sad as I was when Tony Almeida was killed. Damn you Christopher Henderson!!!!
