I just wanted to share with everyone what my fantabulous secret elf, D got me after my original Secret Santa screwed me. I got:

A great smelling body scrub from scuba bath shop, a subscription to Lucky mag, really cute notecards, a Janis Joplin cd, a Jimi Hendrix cd, a flea market decorating book -AND-


the cutest apron (I love it)

She literally got me everything on the top of my wishlist. Thank you so much, D. It means a lot to me that you went waaaay out of your way to give me something when you didn't have to.

I also wanted to thank D, i got my gift today too and it is perfect!! it is a book to hold my recipes and also the greatest cookbook and a beautiful card w/a very sweet message on the inside. thank you so much for not forgetting us, it was so sweet of you! i have a feeling santa will be extra nice to you b/c of your kindness:)

You're both welcome! I was in the holiday spirit big-time this year, and really enjoyed the opportunity to find gifts for you. I'm a big bargain shopper too, so the challenge of staying within $25 was fun for me


rosie the riveter - so glad the yellow is ok! I hope the CDs I burned sound alright (those are the ones I turn to when I need a Joplin or Hendrix fix. 


jessjoy - glad you like the cookbook - I'm tempted to go get one myself - I really liked the color photos for each recipe, as well as the simplicity of them.  I also have a recipe organizer similar to that that works really well for me - I like to be able to put recipes I've clipped out into the pockets instead of re-writing them out.


Aurora - the apron is one-of-a-kind hand-made vintage - I found it at a local flea market
