I have been stalking this skirt, and now it's on sale.

3 questions:

a) has anyone tried it on?
b) would it look bad on someone who is very pale , but with yellow undertones? (I don't really do self tanners that often)
c) is it just as versatile as the navy color? Or would navy be better?

Cute skirt!  And I do think it would be very versatile.  But that shade of yellow can be very hard to pull off, I know I couldn't do it without a tan.

I haven't seen it in person but it seems like the navy might be more versatile... But if you can pull off that yellow color, I think that it would be much cooler!

I think the color makes the skirt, if you are going to get it get it in yellow!

i think it's cute, but think yellow can be hard to pull off...but since it is on the bottom instead of near your face, i think it could be ok.

ps totally off-topic, but this made me think of a restaurant in arlington, va called "u-like."

I think the yellow color is what makes the skirt really cute, and I don't think navy would be the same. Also I am very pale can't wear that shade of yellow, but I have more pinkish undertones to my skin.So it might work on you though.

I like it in yellow or navy.  (I've kinda been stalking it too, hehe...) I agree with FP that that shade of yellow can look a little weird without a tan.  I think the navy could be just as cute and would be perfect with spring's whole nautical trend.

I do think the navy is more versatile... but you don't find the perfect lemon-yellow skirt every day, so I say buy yellow!  It'll liven up any outfit.

Haha. It makes me think of Borat.

I think I may drag myself to my local (40 minutes away) store this weekend & see the color in person first...I'd at least save shipping costs. I'll let you all know. Somehow it's just not doing it for me in navy.

I'm white as a ghost, but I would totally buy the yellow!  It is adorable.

I think it's really cute, if you're worried about the paleness factor, could you wear it w/boots or tights during cooler weather?

I want to get that in yellow but can't figure out what to put with it.  I know nothing in my closet will match.  Any ideas?  I love everything at jcrew right now but Im not good at making outfits.

what color is your hair right now? If you have it dark, I think you could pull off the yellow. If you're currently blonde, I think you should go navy.
