Opinions on some Anthro spring stuff...
Permalink Closed

Hi all!  This is my first time posting, despite having been perusing ST for some time now.  That said, I wanted to ask your opinions on some Anthro tops I'm really wanting... what do you think?  Are they worth the money?  (I told myself I'd be on a ban for the month of January, but that was before I saw these tops...)

First, welcome!  You'll like it here.

Second, those are all cute tops.  But in my experience with Anthro, their stuff tends to be available for awhile.  So unless you live in a warm climate or are travelling soon, I doubt there's much of a need to break your ban this month.  I'll bet those tops will still be available in Feb.

Also, for what it's worth, the second and third tops seem very similar to me.  I know the pattern is different, but the colors and shape are very similar, so you'd be getting the same overall look with both of them.

NC... good point, I didn't even really think about the fact that the second and third ones are kinda similar.

As far as being in a warm climate, I'm actually in Chapel Hill, NC... so I should be able to get some good use out of them soon!  Where are you in NC?

I agree with NC about the two blue tops.

Also, in my experience, it's better to check out their blouses in person. The quality of the material is sometimes questionable, and I've been disappointed in person after seeing something online that I loved.

Ok I tried all three of these on yesterday. I bought the first one and it's gorgeous and I absolutely love it. The second two I wasn't thrilled with. First of all they are silk and I'm not a big fan of silk shirts and the cut was weird on both of them. On the second the waist didn't hit where my waist is and the third would not button over my chest no matter what size I tried. HTH!

No input on the quality or wearability, but I absolutely LOVE that first one!

ETA: Welcome, Sevilla! You'll love it here.

I ordered the third one online and ended up returning it because the fit was off (like Collete said). Also, that shirt runs REALLY small.

I did buy the second one, though, and LOVE it. I didn't have a problem with the cut of that one, for some reason.
