This may be random but...


Is a New York Strip the same as Top Sirloin? If not, then what kind of meat (i.e. round, tenderloin, etc) is it exactly?

They are not the same.  The NY strip is from the short loin section, the larger side to be exact. The sirloin comes from the sirloin section, which is closer to the rear of the cow between the round and the short loin.  HTH!!!

It does!! I've been looking at calorie counters and none of them (suprisingly..haha) had "New York Strip" listed, but they do have Short Loin...
