I've had the same resume "template" for about 6 months now, and since I'm changing jobs I'm wondering if I should change it up a bit, or write it differently, does anyone have tips on resumes or websites that could be helpful?

what type of job did you have, and what are you looking to do? are your job skills/accomplishments largely transferrable to the position/industry you want to join? i only have experience in the science/research field, so i'm not sure how much help i can be, but here are some guidelines that helped me out:
1. aesthetically, be as streamlined, to the point and easy-to-read as possible. this is a no-brainer, but i've looked over a lot of my friends', and some just didn't realize how tedious and annoying it was to read their resumes... they tried to fit in too much information in 1 page, and the font was miniscule
2. when mentioning past accomplishments, be as specific as possible and incorporate numbers whenever you can (i.e. you helped boost sales by 21% or whatnot), and use bold, active verbs. this thread by mikacat has really good examples.
3. er.. i can't think of any more general ones right now.
a lot of job recruiting sites, like monster and career builder, have some sort of resume service.
I know this thread is older than dirt, but I have a nice collection of helpful resume links. I haven't checked this page in a while for broken links, so please bear with me if you run across a couple.
Whatever you do, target your resume to the type of job you want. Don't be afraid to target your resume directly to the actual job you want. The most related parts of your resume should be easy to read and toward the top of the page (first page if you have a 2-pager).
Look up on google or yahoo the following: chronological vs. functional for some guidance on the different types of resumes. Also search resume examples.
