Believe it or not, our daughter is 2 1/2 & we have not taken a professional family portrait. DD looks adorable with this outfit on and we want to dress around it for our portrait.
What should I wear? I was thinking a wine colored top? What about DH? Do we all have to wear olive bottoms? I'm clueless.
ETA: not the exact shoes, but they're brown suede.
pinky's ideas are really cute. I like that they aren't too "matchy," either. I wouldn't go with all the same color bottoms or anything like that. It might make you all look too "done up" for the camera, instead of looking like your regularly awesome selves.
ETA: That BR dress is adorable, BTW... I would want my family pic taken in that!

agreed... Every couple years my family gets together for a photo and my mom tries to make us all match. Every year it looks ridiculous! She doesn't ever seem to learn...
but I personally don't like it when everyone matches. Complimenting is wonderful. Matching, not so much. Therefore...I like the outfit pinky put together for DH...and especially the dress for you!

Thanks again pinky for your suggestions, you gave me a lot of clarity and helped me choose our pieces!
So I am the only one w/o an outfit to wear for our family pic. DH & DD are wearing the below. I found this Max & Cleo Dress for $46. Should I get it? Does it flow with everyone else's outfits? Also, I already have the shoes below, do y'all think I should buy a diff't pair or are the pointy toe pumps ok? Hmmm, is DD underdressed now?
Love that dress!! It will look great with what everyone else is wearing. Will your shoes be visible? I'm not crazy about those pumps with it. What about something like these?
