Worth the $148? Work appropriate? (The sleeves are rolled up in the pic.)

I was eyeing it myself earlier today. I think it's soooo adorable and would look great with you skin tone and coloring.

I'd wear it to work, but I've never worked anywhere with a super strict dress code. In CA, business casual apparently means no denim, tees, and flip flops, but anything else goes.

i totally want that dress. but i think it might be a tad too casual for the office, esp since there's no collar.

I'm not generally a JCrew shopper, so forgive me a sale question. Does their stuff ever go on sale? What's a sale like?

given enough time (~2-3 months?), their stuff goes on crazy sale. the only problem is that, as of late, a lot of their good stuff sells out

ETA: an item can be marked down between 20-70%, depending on how (un)popular it is

I think it's really cute and work appropriate with the right shoes!

It is very cute and I think depending how you wear it I think it can be work appropriate.

Cute as the dickens, and work appropriate...in the right office. It might be too casual for some offices.

Very cute and could be appropriate for work depending on your dress code.

I think it's adorable! It is pretty casual but I do think it's work appropriate as long as your office isn't very conservative.

J.Crew usually has good sales. I recently got a dress for $100, down from $265.

I am not digging it, especially for that price. From the picture it looks like a big tea towel.

I think I'll go to the store this weekend and try it on to see for sure. My office is pretty business casual, so I think it will pass muster. I might try and wait out for a sale though. I'll have to check it out in person to decide...

I actually saw it in the store and it was really cute. I think it would depend what type of office you worked in, but I think it'd be ok for work.

I like it... it's cute and looks flattering.  You might try using a wide leather belt at the waist instead of the tie belt it comes with to make it more work-worthy.  With a pair of slingbacks, it would look fab!
