Bathing Suit Help
Permalink Closed

I posted in Travel that I am leaving on Tuesday for several days in Puerto Rico (DH has to go there for work). DH told me to treat myself to a new bathing suit; it's been over six years since I bought one.

I'm heading out tomorrow to see what's available. I've never shopped for a suit in January; does anyone know who might be carrying suits this time of year? I'm assuming they must be available somewhere for the winter vacationers...?

I was in Target yesterday.  They had bathing suits out on the floor.  This time of year they are not picked over and they have lots of sizes available.

Yep - saw some in Target and in Nordies. I'd guess department stores would have some but I'm not certain. You might want to give them a call.

Thanks, ladies! I had no idea Target would have suits out so early. They are on my "errand list" for tomorrow, so I'll check there before hitting the mall.

I forgot about the Everything But Water stores. Thanks for the reminder!

Victoria Secret has a bunch of new suits online for spring/resort already.  Nice selection.

Hi sydney, online won't help as we leave Tuesday morning. I don't need one so badly as to pay for 2-day shipping. :)

I checked at Target today and I guess they don't think anyone ever needs an underwire top?! Nothing but soft cups, and those will only make me look totally floppy. I didn't get a chance to go anywhere else today - was running errands all day! - but will try again on Monday, when I don't have as much scheduled. I'll go in the a.m. and do my packing Monday night.

I've always had good luck with JCrew suits, but now that I think of it, they might have a limited selection in their stores.  But if you're at a mall with a JCrew, it's probably worth a look.

Anyway, have fun in PR!  I'd love to go there.

ETA: How about Nordstrom?  Don't they always have a swimsuit department?

Ditto on Target & Everything But Water.  I thought I saw some @ Macy's the other day, but don't rule out ON (online).  Not sure if you have a PacSun near you, but they tend to have suits year-round IME.

Good luck & have fun!

If all else fails, just buy one when you get there. Places near the beach usually have a larger selection, so while it sucks to have to kill a little beach time looking for a suit, you'll probably find the perfect one.
