ok, there are still several people that haven't posted in the gift reveal thread. If you have recieved your gift, can you please post there so that we all know you got it? If you haven't recieved a gift yet, please pm me so I can follow up with your santa.

There are at least two people that I know of who haven't received their gift yet. If you haven't sent your gift for some reason PLEASE send it asap and pm me so I can let them know when to expect it.

Oh, I really hope no one skips out on it like last year!  If you're late, it's okay, just send it!!!

I sent my gift to my recipient...and I haven't heard anything.  I checked and my recipient has not longed on to stylethread since the end of november.

Ditto here..cept my recipient actually logged on last the same day that it says my gift was delivered. I'm worried!

I think it would be appropriate at this time to reveal yourselves to your secret santa pairing and ask them directly if they received their gift.

As far as the others who have not confirmed that they sent a gift, have efforts been made to follow up with these people directly?

Next year we should think up a new way to do an exchange...

ITA. IMO it's beyond rude (excepting very special circumstances) to volunteer to be part of this and then cop out. I remember the dust-up about last year's exchange, too. I hope none of the people who haven't sent (assuming nothing was misdirected by the mail service), or haven't posted about receiving, are just too lazy to bother. I'd like to think better of all our members.

Oh, how shitty!  I know what it feels like to take the time to send out a secret santa gift and not get one in return (not from here though)!

I'd hate to think some people participated to only be on the receiving end.  Perhaps next time it should be more of an exclusive exchange for regular posters of 6 months or more.  That way chances of anybody getting duped is next to none.

I think its really selfish of people to not participate properly. It ruins a fun thing for everyone. I'm still hoping people have legitimate excuses, but they should have at least contacted me with them.

While that is a nice thought it wouldn't have prevented the problems we had last year.  I wish there was an easy solution but I don't know what it would be because even regular posters around here back out - its not just the newbies or infrequent posters.

Whoever skipped out should definitely not be able to participate next year.

I didn't get to participate this year, but I hope to again next year and wouldn't want to get screwed over like some people have.

I feel like we should make public those people who have not sent gifts.  The people who have not sent gifts have had ample time and warning at this point in my opinion.

yeah, someone was burned at the stake last year - it 'taint pretty when something like this goes down...

this is supposed to be an extension of holiday cheer not holiday anger

on that note, I'm pleased to report that one of santa's elves caught wind of this atrocity and has stepped up to the plate to make nice for those who were naughty... Rosie & Jess - keep an eye on your mailbox this week

No, you're right.  I don't want things to get ugly here because what I love about Stylethread is that everyone here is SO NICE!  I just feel bad for those that didn't get their gifts and I am so glad to hear that someone here is kind enough to take care of those who got shorted.  I hope this doesn't ruin it for next year because I had so much fun taking part in this.   THANK YOU to ilovechoo and those who made this happen this year!

Hey - I just got mine yesterday - I had to pick it up from the post office, and they've been pretty much closed since they gave me the slip saying to pick it up on the last business day before Christmas (after business hours). It's a small town. These things happen. (And Gerald Ford dying didn't help).

Anyway, it's a totally soft and cute yellow scarf and hat set, hand-knitted by Laken1 - I love it! It looks great with my grey coat, and I have a chocolate jacket that I'll wear them with when it gets a little warmer. Thank you so much sweetie!
