opinions on coats please?
Permalink Closed

hey everyone

i'm looking for a new coat or jacket and saw one that i really liked on someone - but i can't find it... i've found a similar coat (the "birdseye check" one) and another one that i like which isn't what i was looking for but i think it might suit me better and i'm quite short (5'3"). what do you think? oh and the 2nd one is also a bit cheaper

image Tulip Jacketthis but in a dark plum kind of colour

thanks

those are both really cute, and i think it would depend on what the weather is like where you live. ie, do you need a longer coat for colder weather, or can you get away with a short one like that!

I like the longer black/white more more. It seems like you'd get more use out of it. I'd tire of the second one more quickly.

I like the first one more, too. I have a thing for longer coats.

I like the first one too.  Very classic and chic.

I like them both but you'd get way more use out of the first one.

I really like both.  I see the first one as being able to do a less casual look and would probably wear the second one more with jeans and pants.  I love the button placement on the black and white.

Me too..and I always opt for non-double breasted in most cases.

I agree. Depending on the price, I think that the second one is really cute although it's not as versatile.

I like both and agree that the first one is more versatile.  But, if you already have a coat that length, I'd go with the second one.

thanks for the opinions! i think my head says i should get number 1, but i love the second one! i live in the uk and can get away with a shorter coat in winter, and when i had a longer coat before it was too dressy for what i normally wear. but then i don't want to have a coat that i might go off after a while... i can't decide! think i'll go and try them on again lol

Where did you find the red one?  I am looking for something that shape for myself.
