living in LA, i haven't had much of a problem with static in my hair, but with the uncharacteristically cold and dry weather this year, my hair is going crazy with the all the static!   any tips on how to eliminate static from your hair?

Some tips from cold Chicago

Dryer Sheets. Seriously rub them directly on your hair and it will eliminate static. Does it for clothes, why not hair.

If that creeps you out then I use this great product from Charles Worthington. It's a generic brand so you can get it at Walgreens CVS type stores. It's called Shine Shine Shine gloss and refresh spray. It's light, gets rid of static and bonus gets rid of smoke and other stinky smells if you've been out at a bar.

You might try a can of Static Guard (usually in the laundry isle) and spray into your hairbrush and then brush your hair.

I second the dryer sheets. The first time I tried it I felt like a freak, but it really does the job
