dry redness on eyelid?!

is it a sty? My DH gets sty's on his eyelids. He prevents them by using these

I was also thinking a sty or pink eye. Good luck with that - both totally suck.

I sometimes get dry skin on my eyelid in the winter. The skin is dry and flaky and the whole area is red and sometimes looks swollen (nice!). I put vaseline on my eyelid before bed and find that it usually clears up in a couple of days. However that said, you may have a sty or infection and I'm not sure how that would react to vaseline so you may want to see a Dr.

I get that but mine starts out like that and gets really stingey and swolen if I dont take care of it right away. My dr gave me a cream for it but I cant remember what it was. i usually put my excema (sp?) medicine on it and it goes away. I think aveno cortisone cream would be good just use a tiny bit and keep away from your eyeballs. I also found that not wearing eyeshadow and cleaning my brushes well helps. I actually had to stop wearing certian brands all together because it caused it to not go away or be worse.
