I was at my Saks tonight and these Gucci shoes were on the clearance rack in my size for 165.00 on sale (40% off)...talk me out of buying these (they are $399 on ebay) I have enough cash to pay for half the rest would go on the credit card (but we do pay it off at the end of the month)...I did just get a promotion at work...sigh....I have them on hold...

I guess both-I like the shape and I like the fact that they are a good deal. And...I'll admit, I'm a logo lover too...but I know there are lots of non-logo lovers on here and I need all of you to talk me out of these!
Since it sounds like you might genuinely want someone to talk you out of them, I'm going to be brutally honest. I don't hate logos but I have to say that am not into logos on shoes -- it is just too much for me! And although they're a great markdown, I think that you could do a lot better for $200.
That being said, if you just love them, go for it -- we all have different styles.
i'm not a huge fan of logos, but for some reason, i make an exception for gucci. dont know why. and chanel. i love the shape, but i don't think canvas shoes are really ever worth it, or all that comfy (are they lined in leather?). they just don't break in properly in my experience.
If you totally love them, then go for it, but IMHO, I'd pass...I am having a hard time visualizing outfits with those shoes for some reason, plus I'm not loving the logo, even though I like the shape...I think for that much money you can find something that you wouldn't want to be talked out of...
I really don't like logo's in general, and I can't stand them on shoes. But that's just my opionion. FWIW, gucci makes the most omfortable shoes I've ever tried- I can walk for hours in them.
also, that light colored canvas will get dirty pretty quickly, I think. I'd pass on these and find something else great.
Two questions: If you didn't know they were Gucci, would you still like them? If you had seen them at the original price, would you have still loved them?
Those two questions tend to help me clarify whether or not I might have sale goggles on.
I saw these at saks on sale too. I passed bc I don't care much for logo shoes. But they seemed comfy considering the fairly high heel. If you like logo you should get them. I think they'd look cutest with jeans.
