I'm currently eyeing this Thakoon dress on ebay. I'm the highest bidder right now ($81) but the seller has a reserve price that hasn't been met yet. Should I go for it and bid higher? The dress is a modal/polyester blend so it's similar to my Rachel Pally dresses. I'm just worried that people are over the whole drapery jersey business, which would make me super sad because it's been one of my favorite trends in the past 5 years.
I like the idea of layering a black turtleneck and wearing riding boots with it in winter, and wearing it along in spring/summer for day and night.
It is totally you, and funnily enough I'm wearing my peachy RP dress today (ya, it was like 80 here today... miss it??) so even if jersey dresses are "out" I think they are classic enough to pull off. As for the bidding, I'd say email the seller and ask if you can work something out. Maybe she will reveal her reserve price or put in a BIN for you! Good luck girl, and Merry Christmas!!!
i love that dress. i'd be willing to go up to $100. i don't think jersey dresses are too trendy, and nice, not-too-sheer white ones are hard to come by. this one is adorable. try messaging the seller to figure out what her reserve is... in my experience, they're pretty open about it and will tell you right away.
