My friend just asked me to go to Croatia with her and another coupla friends in late May.  I have a 4 day trip to Isle of Palms planned for April, a bachelorette party in Key West over the 4th of July, a wedding in Annapolis at the end of July and a wedding in Kansas City in November.  Between these trips and the regular holiday trips, I don't know if I should do Croatia too. 


Thoughts?  Should I just suck it up, stop buying sweaters and handbags for 4 months to save the money and add Croatia to the list (I might have to go negative with vacation, which is fine from a boss perspective, just wanted to give all the facts).

I am very intrigued by Croatia. I think a trip to Croatia will hold much more value in your life than apparel and accessories in the long run.  When I was in college, I had some money left over from student loans and could either buy a new computer or go on a trip to the Amazon. I chose the Amazon. I chose to seize the opportunity and make my experiences richer. I was able to get a computer later...

Definitely go to Croatia if you can swing it! It is one of *the* hottest emerging travel destinations in the world. Sublime Adriatic coastline, charming medieval historic sites, relatively low prices for Europe -- I think that you'd love it.

I vote for Croatia.  In the coming years it will be overrun by tourists, so I say go there now while it's still relatively uncrowded by tourists.  I've great things about Croatia, and it's on my list of places to hit in the next year or two.

My DH and I have been tossing around Coatia alot lately. He's 100% Croation and we would love to go.

My husband and I went to Croatia for vacation 4 years ago and we loved it!  The beaches are gorgeous and there are tons of little islands to visit with some good hiking.  Our favorite towns were Dubrovnik and Split.  It was fun just to walk around the old cities and explore.  I would say go to Croatia and save money somewhere else, but I am also a complete travel addict.

I've heard nothing but amazigng stories about croatia. You should definately go! Bags and shoes will always be around, but how often will you have an opportunity to go somewhere so awesome (without going by yourself)
