I was just thinking about the fact that Vinny is basically my furry child.  So, I thought it would be fun for us all to share pics and names of our furry kids because we are so wild about them.  Don't feel left out if you don't have one and you want one...you can share with us what kind of furry kid you'd like and what you might name him/her.

the name varies among honey, baby, baby squirrel, piggy, and tree pig. The squirrel pictured has been visiting since he was a baby. He will take food from my hand:

B and I don't have one yet, but in April, when our lease is up, we are moving to a dog friendly building and getting one of these:

ETA: D, I love your squirrel. I had a pet squirrel at my first apartment in Chicago. He would come to my kitchen window and beg for nuts. We named him Craig.

I got custody of our babies. I offered him visitation but he refused- he doesn't want to feel obligated to see them. Ass.


Anyway...

and this is Cleo, my big fat old kitty



I had 2 goldfish, Neptune and Finnigan, but they both recently went to the big aquarum in the sky. Which wasn't too bad considering I had had them for almost 5 years.

This is Pearl cuddling with her favorite toy (a squeeky hot dog). She is a 10 year old Border Collie/Lab mix. I got her when she was 4.5 years old. She already had that name, I didn't choose it.

Courtney, your post made me so sad because it reminded me of my dear old Mikey. Some of you may remember that Dec. 6 of last year he got out and was hit by a car. I still miss him so much Rest in Peace my dear old friend

What a great thread.  Everyone has such adorable animals!


This is my girl Halle.  She is like the child who will never leave you alone.



This is Rocks.  He is a real tough guy...



...but not so tough with his haircut.



And, not to be Debbie Downer, but my childhood cat (always referred to as "my" cat) Elmo was just put down yesterday.  I really miss the little guy...
