Pant ideas for this jcrew jacket/blazer?

for christmas, I would like to buy my mom a professional outfit that isn't a suit- i have picked this jacket- but what pants would go well with it? (its matte velvet- note colors on outer collar)

any ideas?


perhaps this jacket isn't a good choice?
