Lynnie - that's exactly the problem. I think the print looks differently from afar, than it does up close and in person. I'm not sure I'm 100% sold on the print. I like it, but not sure I love it. I'll take a close up picture of the print tonight and see what you girls think.
SO loved it online, loves the fit, but told me he thinks the print is sort of cheap looking...
If you don't love it, I think you should return it. I'm sure you can find a DVF with a print you absolutely adore.
Hey sweetie, First off, the dress looks really great on you. However, if you don't love the print, I say don't keep it. A DVF wrap is one of those things you should absolutely love. They are classics you can reach out to over and over & keep forever.
So from a cost per wear perspective, I say send it back. Because if you don't love the print - even though the fit is great - you won't get your money's worth on it. Kind of like this marc jacobs bag I once bought 50% off. Everyone said it was really cute, but I didn't love it so much. It's stashed in my closet hardly ever used. If I think of it, it was just a waste of money. Yeah I have a 1500 bag in my closet that i got for 750 - so what? It's collecting dust. I would've rather bought a bag I really love full price that I could wear a ton more, not to mention I could really use the extra closet space. I'm all about cost per wear. And that dress should make you feel fabulous.
That said, shopbop has a bunch of DVF wraps 20% off. There's no tax & free shipping there, so the cost would be pretty darn close to what you paid, and there are more options to choose from. HTH!

I've got to agree that if you don't LOVE it, return it. I have spent most of this year asking myself, "Do I LOVE it?" when shopping, and I can't tell you how much happier I am with my wardrobe now. DVF's should make you feel like a million bucks. So if this dress isn't doing it, find another that will. Don't settle for a print with which you are not utterly thrilled.

Thanks for putting it in perspective for me Vanessa & atlgirl - I've decided to send it back. You're both right. I just don't love the print, and for $200, I need to.
I really appreciate everyone's input. I know I can find a DVF wrap now that fits me and a print that I love!
Vanessa - thanks for the tip on shopbop - I'm off to check out what they have now!
