i've tried it on and the silhouette looks wonderful on me, but the color is my only hesitation. It's currently going for $66 with 8 hrs. left on ebay.

I'm light skinned with golden undertones, now but I tan really easily in the summer.

I think the black has definite Elvira potential.  I'd much prefer it in navy, dark green, or plum.

I'm gonna have to go with pass .  You can always stalk it in another color ...

If you could get it hemmed to knee length or so, it would take away from the Elvira potential.    I don't have any RP pieces, so I don't know what the fabric is like or if it would be easy for a seamstress to take up the hem.  But if it's left long, it looks a bit goth for my liking.

lilykind, i think you could make it work with like more casual shoes and lightcolored accessories...i'm thinking maybe of cream or grey colored obis/belts, or some gold jewelry...i definitely think you can dress it down so it doesn't look goth. and if you think the fit works for you, i'd say go for it.

I agree.  I think you could definitely do the black one with the right accessories but I'd prefer it in another color if at all possible.

I also think another color would be best, like eggplant:

I think you could make it work.  Based on how you style things, I definitely think it can work.  And, RP fabric would be pretty easy to alter if you wanted to hem it or play around with the length.  I say get it and post how you style it!
