I'm so glad you liked it.  I kept trying to find a connection between us for your gift and when you mentioned learning about wine I instantly got it and then went on to find that book (and I got one for me too!) and that notebook since I use one and find it very helpful with figuring out wine.  I find normal wine journals to be too complicated as I can't tell the different aromas or oakyness but I can say whether I like it or not and how dry it is

I got my present today!!!


My ss was rosie the riveter. I found in a box, beautifully packaged, a bath gel from the body shop:


Golden Apple Shimmering Bath Bubbles  -the scent is wanderful  and I really like their products!!!


And a book:


The Complete Cookie JarThis is about 2 inches thick, there is a cookie recipe on each page and relative picture!!!


Plus, the cutest Christmas card with Christmas Snoopy & Woodstock


Rosie, I loved both! I love to take baths, and I really love to cook. And 1001 is a lot of cookies to make!

My secret santa gift arrived today-it was from Leah Leanna!  I was so surprised today when my husband brought up the gift and said, "Travelgirl?  Ummm-you have a package here..."!  He laughed at me when I excidedly opened up the box.  I was so touched by the thoughtfulness of the gifts.  Here's what was inside the box:


-A gorgeous green colored reusable photo box


-An adorable eyeglass case (which I really needed because I wear glasses when I drive and I am always looking for a case especially when I go out of town and have to take the glasses out of my car)


-A bag of Starbucks coffee (how did you know I am addicted to Starbucks??)


-Some gorgeous green snowflake ornaments


-An adorable green and white striped headband (which I wore today and I love, love, love!)


-A container of bath confetti and a bath "bomb" (so fun!)


-Some notecards


-A bunch of Andes candies (yum!)

My secret Santa was LindsayP!  She saw that we're in the process of decorating our house and that I like red, I like birds, and I like making things, so she made me this:



Is that not incredible?!?!?  She sewed it all by hand.  It's the state bird of NC, the cardinal.  It's beautiful and I'm going to frame it and put it up somewhere in our house.

ilovechoo....you are wonderful!  Thank you for the LOVELY Anthropologie apron you sent.  The colors are beautiful and I love the button detail, pockets, etc.  I have it hanging in my kitchen on display for all to see.  I even wore it during my Christmas Eve party tonight.  I can't wait to post a pic.  Thank you for being so very thoughtful.  I hope you have a warm and relaxed Christmas.

My secret santa was Courtney1982.  She sent me a beautiful ivory scarf that is so soft and yummy. I've been wanting an ivory scarf and I love soft things.  She also sent me the prettiest necklace, locket like with charms, and these adorable wooden animal photo holders which totally remind me of nativity scene animals. 


Courtney, thank you so much for the beautiful and thoughtful gifts.  What a wonderful surprise.  I especially enjoyed your handmade card.  Merry Christmas!

My SS was Luv2Shop! I got my gift last Tuesday, but I was very busy with finals and Christmas stuff. She sent me the most thoughtful gift ever... every travel-sized toiletry you could ever think of in two of the cutest little makeup bags. They're for my trip to Disney in a couple of months, and there are sooo many goodies in them that I cannot wait to use. She also sent me a cute Disney scrapbook and supplies so that I can document my trip. The thing I was most excited about was the Real Simple Organized Home book. I was thisclose to picking it up at the store a few weeks ago but decided that I shouldn't buy anything for myself until after Christmas. It was like she read my mind! Also enclosed was a lovely note written on the cutest paper. Thank you so much! I took pics and I'll post them as soon as I find my USB.

Work has been absolutely nuts lately, so whenever i got off work the post office and the UPS store were closed :( Anyway, i know it's just handmade and not all fancy, but as I'm totally broke this year it's all i could do. Okay - I don't want my secret santa to think I didn't like the gift or am not sayign thank you ro something. I don't have it yet. But just because the post office left me a card saying I could pick it up on Friday AFTER business hours. And by then they were closed until AFTER Christmas. And yesterday and today I've gotten busy and forgotten that our post office closes at 5. So I'm sure I will love it as soon as I get it.

I literally just walked in the house from vacation and my SS package was waiting for me! Metric was my fabulous secret santa and she got me the most gorgeous mirrored jewelry box (which I need sooooo badly) and an adorable pair of amber drop earrings! I am so happy and the package made coming back to reality from vacation so much more bearable! Thank you, Metric! xoxo

Anyways, wanted to say that my SS was relrel! She got me a very cool turquoise beaded necklace, a gold bangle set, and a cute ornament. Also included was a card with a thoughtful message that I found very sweet.
