i really struggled to come up with something for my mom & dad to get me for christmas this year.  i finally decided i wanted a coat that i could dress up or down.  i really like this one at nordstroms:



it comes in cream (which i love) but i told her to get the chocolate in order to be sensible!  its $98.  however, i just realized that it doesn't ship until 1/25/2007!!!


has anyone seen anything similar- style, price, etc.?  i told her i would send her a link to something by this evening!!!  eek!

For the life of me I can't remember where, but I know several other stores/brands had coats like that. I'll try digging around, but just wanted to let you know there is hope of finding one!

I actually just returned my black one I bought at the Anniversary sale. It was too warm/bulky for my needs.

Actually, I just checked the site and they do have the one you posted above in cream!!!  yippee!  its backordered until 12/18/2006 but i bet it will come in...  i hope!


i'm going to keep looking just in case though...

i saw a coat that looks nearly identical in the vs catalog i got yesterday, but i can't find it on the site. it's available in black, heather gray and white/ cream (don't remember). i can try to remember to get the item # tonight if you want.

I saw this coat at my Nordstrom in brown. They had 2 larges and 1 medium on the floor. It might be worth it trying to do a charge send if you still have your heart set on that one.
