Moisturizer and Eye Cream Help
Permalink Closed

My skin has been looking bad lately. No breakouts (knock on wood), but it looks very dull and tired. And the lines under my eyes are looking especially crepey and pronounced. I want a really great moisturizer (my skin is normal to slightly oily) and eye cream. I'm willing to pay whatever price for something really outstanding. Any suggestions? I was thinking Creme de la Mer just bc I've heard so much about it.

If you're willing to shell out the dough, I suggest Kinerase.

I've been using the eye creams (both Under Eye Rescue and the Intensive Eye Cream, but not at the same time) for about 5 months now. I just started using the lotion a couple of weeks ago. My skin looks great considering I work a high stress job for 80+ hrs/wk and have a lot of acne scarring.

maybe start out with a travel kit

Travel Kit: Normal to Oily Skin

I've also heard good things about Shiseido's Benefiance eye cream. I've used Shiseido's Bio-Performance one (it comes in a pump bottle) with good results as well.

I've been using L'Occitane's Precious Creme, and I love the way it has brightened up my complexion.  I've heard great things about the Precious Eye Balm as well, but I haven't tried that yet.  The creme is $48 available at L'Occitane stores or Sephora.  It smells wonderful, too.

It sounds like you need to use an exfoliator first if you haven't already.  I really like this stuff

but I'm a clinique fan and have been using their 3 step for awhile now.

oh and as far as eyecream I have been using this since it was in one of the GWP things I had.

I think I prefer it to one of their award winners....

I've been using this whenever my skin is feeling less than dewey and gorgeous:

I love this. It tingles when you put it on (it's very minty and fresh feeling) and it makes my skin glow. I usually break out whenever I put extra moisture on my face, but this one hasn't made me oily at all. It just makes my skin feel and look a little more alive, if that makes sense.

I would recommend trying DDF's Glycolic Tonic 10% as part of your routine. It is great and will make your skin glowing, smoothe, poreless and clear.

I would also try Fresh's Sugar Face Scrub.

If your skin is normal to oily, I wouldn't bother with Creme de La Mer. It will be WAY too heavy for you.
