So, here's the deal. DH and I are invited to a very swank birthday party this Saturday night (they rented out a museum, just to give you an idea of what kind of swank we're talking about) but it's not black tie or anything...One of my friends asked the bday girls assistant about the dress code and the assistant replied that the dress code is to be "fun". Now "fun" scares me a little bit because if I didn't know this girl and her crowd, I'd be imagining those bedazzled holiday sweaters or those christmas light necklaces ...What the heck does "fun" mean as a dress code?? Can anyone help? I need something very chic/cool, but not too formal...
I was planning on wearing my trust old black wrap dress with boots...boring, but safe.
If anyone has any ideas (special points if it's from anthro- I have a GC there that I've been trying to spend) please post away!!
Okay, while I love these, I have to say I'm cracking up at the angle
but onto the matter at hand: I really love kmd's first outfit with those buttoned-leg pants. This is what I came up with... I'm very uninspired today, I think:
or not necessarily these flats, but I'm just thinking flats:
