I know the reviews were less than great, but *I* just saw it and thought it was wonderful. The story was great and very moving, it left you really thinking about things, and I loved the way the story lines were done from an artistic standpoint. I highly reccomend it. (Just don't go on a day when you're in a great mood, because it will most likely eave you at least somewhat depressed.)
