I LOVE 12th st shoes. They are usually moderatly comfortable, and the quality is excellent.

I think they are adorable ...

based on the other ones that you've posted/shown interest in lately, i'm not a fan.

hth.  but that being said, i've had good luck with 12th street shoes.

i'm curious- how so?

the reason i'm posting these is because i have not a single pair of dressy heels to wear... =(

creates some problems when i have to dress up.  and i hate most dressy shoes that i see, for one reason or another.  i'm open to suggestions though!  i like: simplicity, nothing too "on trend", thick heels, and expensive looking

they're cute, but i'd be worried they aren't dressy enough to be "dressy heels."

well, i dont need super dressy- something that i can wear w/nicer things to magazine parties and such.  I would like something for this dress, for example:

other shoes may be better- but i guess i'm thinking about what would go w/the most??  i dunno- they are $80 from $300- thats probably why i'm so into them, though i liked them at full price.

I think they are so cool! You could wear them so many different ways. If that dress was another color, I think they'd work well, otherwise- I think you can do better for that dress.

Agreed. I think they're quite cute but not terribly versatile for this season, which it sounds like is at least part of what you're going for.

I'm not a fan of those shoes. I also don't think they meet your criteria of "expensive looking" - at least, not in that pic. They may look better IRL. And I agree that I wouldn't put those with that dress. Sorry!

ITA.  I am also unable to get past the heel.  That is really killing he look of the shoe for me.  They are way to chunky to be dressy IMO.  HTH!!

The heel is throwing me too - partially because of the wood look. It doesn't seem very dressy to me.

Lone dissenter, I like them and I think they are very you.  I don't really see them with that dress but I think you could make them work.

yea i dunno- if they look good in person, and are comfy, i'd like them.  but $80 from $300 makes me question that...although, free shipping, so nothing to lose.

i like these posted:

i'm trying to stay away from black though...

and i also really like the bronx shoes alliegurl got!  ahhh!

I gotta agree with the girls - I don't love those shoes.  The chunky heel and overall look makes me think daytime wear.  Maybe go silver peeptoe if you are trying to stay away from black.
