I this look. I love leggings on other people but I have said that I would never wear them myself because I am 36 years old. However, I have been told I look 10 - 12 years younger . I would never wear it to work, but do you think I could get away with it for shopping, going out to eat, etc. ?

You can definitely get away with it in my opinion! I just was looking in a magazine and saw pictures of Kylie Minogue (who I think is 38) wearing leggings with a dress and she looked great.
I'm 30 and have a general philosophy that if you rocked something the first time it was big, you shouldn't do it again. I'm going to just say no to this grunge thing if that's going to take off. I still regret that I was all in baggy, worn things when I was a teen. I had a decent body and yet I wore big old man sweaters and flannel and boy jeans.
But, I think the way leggings are being worn now is fresher and more modern, not necessarily a straight from the 80s look. I really think the look you showed is pretty mature, not old but not that teen UO/Delias look.
