I have several sweaters that have a "dramatic shape" (stealing verbage from Nordstrom.com here). Along this line:
What can I wear over them when it gets REALLY cold...as in, parka weather, know what I mean? In the past, I've avoided wearing them if I know I'll be outside for longer than a sprint from the car to the front door. It's easier when the sleeves are like this and I can get a coat over the sleeves. But bell sleeves, kimono sleeves, etc?? Sometimes they're too bulky for my tailored winter coat...
I would like to know too because up to now I have refrained from buying such sweaters for the very same reason. If I didn't have to wear a coat, I still don't know if I would wear such sweaters because even small bell sleeves bother the heck out of me--they always get in my way.
I don't know...any sweaters or blouses I have like that, I wear when it's not so cold that I have to put something over them. The only think I can think of is a cape or pashmina-type wrap.
