We usually go to the BF's cousin's house and get slightly dressed up, but this year his mom, sister and I are going to do dinner for the immediate family so it will be more casual (yay!).
I'll be wearing my straight leg 7's, Target Cheetah print flats, but I haven't decided on top yet. I love those flats so lately I have been dressing around them.

gosh, going for comfort. I'm cooking, the Lions game will be on, a fire going, and a glass of wine in-hand... probably an AT tunic sweater, white blouse under, leggings or tights, and my new anthro over-the-knee boots...

We are having my aunt, uncle and cousin coming in from Mexico and my sisters friend so I will probably dress casual dressy. And it will also be in the high 70's.
I'll probably wear jeans, maroon tunic sweater and black flats. Still thinking about it though...
Casual. The high is supposed to be in the eighties here, so I'll probably wear jeans and a buttondown. No shoes. Dinner will just be myself, my husband, kids and my dad.
I am Head Chef that day , so I will definitely be wearing something comfortable that I don't mind getting food on! Will probably consist of clogs (to prevent the leg/foot fatigue that would otherwise result from spending 4 hours in the kitchen), jeans, a black t shirt, and an orange fleece half zip (to support my Broncos!).

I'm planning my outfit around my Anthro apron (I'm head chef this year!). It's a turquoise and chartreuse pattern, so jeans and a coordinating jcrew tee. It's going to be warm here too, so dinner will be served al fresco.

That cracked me up.
I'm cooking everything, as always. So, I'll be in yoga pants and a t-shirt for that. After that, when I finally get to relax, it will be jeans, this DKNY navy tank I just got, and this lightweight Moth cargigan that I've had for a year and haven't worn, yet!
This was my Thanksgiving outfit last year, which is pretty dressy for my family.
This year I'm going to wear something more casual. My cousin is coming this year, and she's pretty hoochie (for a 42 y.o. at least), so I always feel too professional if I dress up when she's around. I'll probably do something similar to one of these old outfits:

I came, I saw, I did a little shopping.
Unusual circumstances this year: the out-of-town relatives who were coming all cancelled--one set last week, and the rest yesterday. So DH and I are going to the Champagne Thankskgiving Buffet at the Fairmont Hotel.
We are going to get dressed up, so I am probably going to wear my new black dress bought last summer in NYC and not yet worn, (rats, already gone from website) or else a black pantsuit bought last year and so far worn once.
I'm also going to get to wear some rarely-worn jewelry.
Four years ago we had Thanksgiving at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The food wasn't so great, although the people-watching was more interesting than San Jose. Normally we cook at home.
Thanksgiving isn't a dressy occasion for my family, but I do like to dress up a little since I never have a reason to do so. I'm thinking about wearing a nice black denim skirt, knee high black boots, and I haven't decided on a top yet.
