I went back to brown yesterday from blonde and after 24 hours now, I officially HATE IT

I want to go back blonde.  It will probably  be 2 weeks before I can see my colorist again.  Has anyone ever used L'Oreal Haircolor Remover Kit?  Thankfully, my hair is in healthy condition so I think it could take some stress.

I've never used it, but I would suggest waiting the two weeks for two reasons: a) you just had your hair colored, and it might not be safe to process it so much so quickly. Going from brown back to blond might result in one of those weird orange shades; and b) both times I went from blond to brown, I hated it for a day or so, and then it started to grow on me.  Good luck!

no, no, NO! do not use this!

seriously, hair color removal is something really best left to a professional, and even then it takes a serious toll on your hair.

i responded on the other thread, but please wait out the two weeks. you might come to love your hair. and if it still feels too dark, just have some highlights put in, because color correction is AWFUL on hair and it doesn't always come out so great.

ways to speed up fading:
-dishwasher detergent as shampoo
-hot oil treatment (you can also use olive oil)
-clarifying shampoo

as a last resort, i would recommend a "glamour shampoo" which is equal parts of 20 vol developer mixed with any shampoo. (be very careful!) it won't lift much, but it can help a little bit. (i wouldn't "shampoo" with this longer than 5 minutes, though)

Thanks.  I have calmed down a bit.  I am going to call my colorist on Monday and see if she can take me in two weeks.  I can stand looking at my hair as long as I wear it in a ponytail because that way I am not getting the full effect.  I won't use that haircolor kit.  I just found out that it is nothing more than bleach in disguise.  Apparently Colorfix is different that the haircolor kit in that it shrinks the color molecules and doesn't act like a bleach.  However, I am not even going to do that.  I am just taking deep breaths and trying not to cry.  If I get started crying I won't be able to quit.  I know that sounds so silly.  I have worked too long and hard to grow my hair out which is down to the bottom of my back shoulder bones--would those be the scapula bones?  I don't want to do any damage to it.  Thanks for listening.

p.s. I have washed my hair four times in prell shampoo.

I totally agree!  I used this a couple of months ago and actually PM'ed Erin about what it did to my hair and suggestions on how to fix it.  Thanks to Erin my hair is back to normal, but it seriously damaged my hair.
