I am buying myself some flat boots for my birthday, because I have decided I can't live without them, even if we only get 2 months of boot weather a year.
That said, I really need to find a pair that has no more than a 13.5" calf. My calves are 12.5" and it seems like most boots in my size (8) are closer to 14-14.5 in diameter. I don't want them to look like galoshes. I am up for black or brown, but they need to be sleek/riding-boot style, no chunky soles or slouchy legs. I'd like to keep it under $150, and I'd like them to be leather, not suede. (Faux leather is fine too, if they don't look cheapy.)
I like these from Esprit, and they have a 25% code right now, but they took FOREVER to process my return the last time I bought something. Does anyone know how the calves run on these boots? Or if Esprit boots are decent quality?

off 5th had BEAUTIFUL mock-croc flat boots for $150 plus 25% off today- they were snug in the calves (mine are small too) and I really wanted them but am too short to pull them off. They were BCBG.
