Every time I watch an old Seinfeld re-run I notice a different now-famous actress who once played one of his girlfriends. Here is my short list so far:


Teri Hatcher


Kristin Davis


Christine Taylor (Ben Stiller's wife)


Courtney Cox (I'm pretty sure... haven't seen that one in a while but I could swear she was one)


there are so many others that are escaping me right now. Who else knows some?

I believe that there were some other former or future sitcom stars that appeared as short-lived love interests -- such as Debra Messing, Lori Laughlin and Amanda Peete.

oh yeah! Amanda Peet was the one who lived with some guy but went out with Jerry anyway. Also, I remembered Jane Leeves (Daphne from Frasier) was one, too.

I saw Kristin Davis on one a while ago... I really like her, so I loved seeing her on Seinfeld!

ETA: Okay, she was high up on your list I see, I guess I just didn't read closely! but I couldn't edit it to add another name because I don't remember anyone else

Lauren Graham (The Gilmore Girls)- I can't remember if she was a girlfriend or not, but she somehow swallowed one of the packs of whatever that comes in shoe boxes, at the end she just kept saying she felt so dry inside....

Oh yeah, Courteney Cox was the one who pretended to be Jerry's wife to get a discount at the dry cleaner's.


And I loved Kristin Davis in the toothbrush in the toilet episode!

The chick from House who plays Dr. Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) - she was one of George's girlfriends - she was in with the epidsode with Jody - who was the girl that wouldn't give Jerry a massage who was also the manicurist from Legally Blonde and Stifler's mom on American Pie - Jennifer Coolidge. How funny is that.

I noticed that this week & I watch Seinfeld every single day - twice. I'm sure I'll think of more. So glad to see that it's not just me.

Oh, and incidentally, George was dating Megan Mullally (aka Karen from Will & Grace) on the episode with Teri Hatcher.

I realize the question was about Jerry's girlfriends, but I find this somewhat fascinating as well.

Seinfeld-aholic here too!  I usually watch it one or two episodes before I fall asleep.  It's my 10:30 pm ritual.  Hubby hates it, but oh well.


One person I've noticed is left out is A.J. Langer, from My So Called Life and It's Like, You Know.  She played his girlfriend for an episode.  She had a mentor that she really respected and the mentor ended up being Kenny Bania's girlfriend and that turned Jerry off.
