I'm really really really excited to see Imogen Heap this Sunday. I'll be meeting up with an old friend of mine who I haven't seen in 3 years. We're planning on eating beforehand.
I've never been to a concert and have no idea what to wear.
If it's at all appropriate, I'd like to wear my beat up Converse sneakers. After that, I'm clueless.
I don't know where the concert is being held, but I can tell you regardless of where I usually wear my beat up converse with decent jeans and a graphic tee. Generic I know...if I am feeling more dressy I wear nice jeans, boots, a plain tee, and a cool cardigan/blazer over it. I often take into account the amount of smoke that might attack my clothing in a smaller closed off venue. I also take into account the kind of dancing that will occur, if there is a risk I will be pushed over in a mosh pit I wear the less beat up converse so they don't get stepped on and disappear into the crowd, and I never wear a skirt to a concert, but this is mostly because the concerts I go to often involve being very crowded standing room only and I prefer not to have strangers surrounding me and rubbing against me while I am wearing a skirt. I hope that helps a bit.

I didn't realize that Imogen Heap is going to be in town. I think I'm going to try to go too!!
Looks like she is playing at the Tabernacle and it is standing room only there. I would make sure and wear comfy shoes. Penguininaboats idea of jeans and a graphic tee with converse would be perfect for the Tabernacle. If you are going some where nice to eat before then you might want to dress up a little more.
